The ability to voice thoughtful ideas (as opposed to stupid ones, but including stupid) is at our fingertips. An artist articulates truths. Art reveals. As long as I am scratching the wall someone might hear, see or smell and know that I wasn't lying. If it's rank enough then you know it must has to be real. If it's faded then it's jaded. I wouldn't make this up. As a human being that has to share space, we should share space, including writing space. I don't care who I am; you will hear me, maybe even fear me. Read the walls and wake up to reality. Create it. An artist is a defender of the rights of all living beings, if she or he wants to be. BE an activist for livin rights. We are all a part. |
