Gloria Heaston

I am originally from Alberta and moved to the Comox Valley via Victoria in 1999. Wanting to be a part of the local arts community I became a member of the Comox Valley Arts Council 8 years ago and have continued to support the organization as I pursued my own art training. I am fulfilling a lifelong dream of developing my artistic abilities by being a Fine Art and Design student at North Island College,

Pablo Picasso's innovations in art have been a continual inspiration in my exploration of visual arts. Skilled in many different forms of art from painting to sculpture Picasso's work stimulated my own investigations into mixed media. I find it hard to pick just one art form, but my passion lies predominantly in drawing and silkscreen printmaking. My graphic style compliments both of these media and I am looking forward to creating larger bodies of work in both of those areas in the future.
